Lights in the Firestorm

An incomplete catalog of songs me and my friends wrote and played long ago

February 18, 2024

Lights in the Firestorm is the post-hardcore band I started with class mates back in High School that played from 2008 to 2011. This was such a positive time of my life filled with many friends that contributed to the band's music throughout the years—Earl Miller, Max Phillips, Curtis DuRard, Jackie Meadors, Cory Kemp, CJ Fowler, Matt Loring, Kody Clason, Zack Whitley, Cody Pennington, and Josh Pelletier, thank you for the memories.

This is an incomplete catalog of songs we wrote and recorded together. Feel free to download what you want or just jam them from here.

Enjoy the blast from the past.

P.S. If you were a member of the band or were a close friend of mine back then and would like to reconnect, my phone number is still the same as it was all those years ago, and I would love to hear from you again.

The Song at the End

This is the last song we wrote and recorded as a band. The soaring chorus near the end gave me chills every time we played it live, and I looked forward to it every night.

A Collection

Songs from the EP

Heavily influenced by the metal bands of the time—The Devil Wears Prada, Attack! Attack!, and A Day to Remember—this is the EP that helped us become a well-known name in the Nashville hardcore scene in the early 2010s. I will never forget the mountain of people that would grab for the mic to say "Throw the fuck down" before the breakdown in Your Words Are Like Daggers or "This is where I make my stand" in I Remember It Like It Was 1999.

Songs from the Garage

These are songs from the band's humble beginnings in my parent's garage—back when we just wrote songs for fun without thinking about playing on stage. They went on to become the original setlist when we began playing shows for the first time. TALLY HO! was a fan favorite.
